‘Aloft’ is an intriguing  work of Irish Contemporary Art, inspired by a bird’s eye view over the Burren in the evening time.  The red sunsets over Galway Bay light up the limestone rocks before sunset and the mountains and rocky limestone terrain appear pink and purple across the Burren, Co. Clare. Brimming with colour, texture and movement ‘Aloft’ was created with layers of flowing acrylic paints and sand, completed with acrylic and gouache palette knife highlights.
