Artist’s Note: ‘Burren Sunset’ was inspired by my love of The Burren National Park in the West of Ireland. 

I’m fascinated by the changing light on this unique limestone landscape and this colourful painting is of a beautiful fiery sunset on the hills above Fanore, Co. Clare.

‘Burren Sunset’ is the 4th painting of a new series of 8 paintings from the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. 

This vibrant landscape has a 3D quality to it as there is a layer of Fanore sand in the mountains and stone walls. When natural light shines on the painting, it appears to come alive which draws you into the vibrance and energy of this original painting.
