Artist’s Note: This colourful painting was inspired by a family day out on the beach watching sand yacht racing.  I have these amazing memories from my teenage years, of these races taking place on Youghal ‘s Front Strand where I grew up in Co Cork.  When I was painting this canvas in studio, I was right back there on the beach with my family, in the wind, watching all the excitement and flags flapping and sand yachts flying by.
