Artist’s Note: This colourful landscape was inspired by my love of The Burren National Park in the West of Ireland.  The painting is of the layers of rock on the limestone mountain range in The Burren  I love watching the changing light of the day on the mountain range from my art studio, and often in Summer, the mountains glow in pink and purple hues for an hour after the sun sets.   

‘Land of Legends’ is the 2nd painting of a new series of 8 paintings from the Burren and Cliffs of Moher series. 

The painting has a 3D quality to it as it there is a layer of beach sand from Fanore, in the mountain grikes and outline of the mountain. When the natural light shines on the painting, the mountains and grasses appear to come alive which draws you in to the colour and energy of this unique landscape.
