Artist’s Note: ‘Living in The Burren’ was inspired by my love of The Burren National Park in the West of Ireland.
I am fascinated by the changing light on this unique limestone landscape and this colourful painting is of the Summer fields, old stone walls and traditional cottages on the hillside above Fanore, Co. Clare.
‘Living in The Burren’ is the 3nd painting of a new series of 8 paintings from the Burren and Cliffs of Moher series.
The painting has a 3D quality to it as it there is a layer of beach sand from Fanore, in the mountains and stone walls. When natural light shines on the painting, it appears to come alive which draws you in to the vibrance and energy of this unique landscape.
