Irish Designed and Hand Painted  Moby Dick Whale Magnets.

Each miniature Moby Dick Whale Glass Magnet is Unique and comes with Sand from Youghal’s Front Strand.

The inspiration for these hand painted whales comes from the famous  John Houston film Moby Dick which was filmed in Youghal  in 1956 and was based on the novel by the American writer Herman Melville.  Gregory Peck was the main actor and there is a pub called Moby Dick still in Youghal which formed one of the main sets for this famous film.

The individual whales are painted with quality glass paint and then dried and fired in an oven at very high temperatures, to seal the art work.  A layer of beach sand from Youghal’s Beautiful Front Strand and the name ‘Youghal’ is in the foreground of each magnet.  These pretty hand- painted glass magnets make charming gifts and home decorations.

Each Moby Dick Magnet comes with a  complimentary Luxury Gift Box which completes your special Irish Gift.
The gift boxes are sky blue, with detachable lids and pretty silver bows.  The glass magnets measure – 50mm x 50mm x 7mm with a strong magnet secured to the back.
