Artist’s Note: ‘Slieve Elva’ was inspired by my love of The Burren National Park in the West of Ireland.
This colourful painting is of the boggy area on top of Slieve Elva, the highest point of the Burren National Park in Co Clare. I came across a resilient couple of trees defying the elements on top of the mountain and these, along with the calm and peace of the bog, inspired the creating of this atmospheric landscape.
